Jeffrey Balter was so enthralled with kaleidoscopes he began collecting them as quickly as he could locate them. In 1994 he hit the artists’ arena with a bang and is continuing to impact kaleidoscope history, as we know it.

Jeffrey retired from his dental practice to pursue his passion for kaleidoscopes. Trained in structural engineering, Jeffrey combines these skills with his 22 years of dental experience to create his kaleidoscopes. Jeffrey’s kaleidoscopes are clearly contemporary in style and design. Of the four kaleidoscopes he has produced, each one emphasizes a different, never before explored aspect of kaleidoscopic imagery. His impact and influence on the art form will reverberate for years.
