The "wave" object chamber is Will Smith's claim to fame. Having manufactured the "wave machine" for too many years, he retired to pursue his personal interest - making kaleidoscopes.
The "wave" was a natural inclusion for his work. An acrylic tube is filled with immiscible fluids and shimmery, reflective objects. The "wave" is mesmerizing on its own. Placed at the end of a mirror system, a completely new experience begins.
A two-mirror system is found in Wave Dance abuts the famed 'wave' object chamber. The width of the chamber allows for great movement of the objects floating in the liquids. Be surprised as the objects float in and out of view as they overlap and tumble around each other in the current created by the moving liquids.
The Koa wood body sits on a brass and black acrylic base to create a contemporary parlourscope design.
