Henry Bergeson has produced a body of work that clearly states his ability as a wood worker and a designer. His illusions are noted for their clarity of design as well as his acute sense of color and form.
Henry Bergeson has built a reputation for himself for his fine quality woodwork as well as his optical imagery. Bergeson works with beautiful woods, typically Birds Eye Maple and Bubinga. Generally one is used for the main body with the other wood accenting the piece. The wood is sanded and polished until a smooth, satiny finish is achieved. Bergeson's work is a delight to hold while enjoying the optical imagery.
Two mirrors placed at 15° form a twelve-point image. Marbles up to two inches in diameter can be viewed through the kaleidoscope. Intricate patterns of color and detail are formed. The possibilities are truly endless.
Marble Scope measures 13 inches tall by 11 1/4 inches wide x 4 1/2 inches deep.
